OUR PHILOSOPHYAt Summer Hill Farm, we offer instruction for all levels of riders. Whether you are a beginner, or serious competitor showing on the "A" circuit, we will develop a custom program for you.
Summer Hill's staff strives to keep horses healthy and sound through truly remarkable care and diligence not only when riding and training but with everyday routine hands on care. Our knowledge and desire to do what is right for both horse and rider creates happy, healthy, athletic animals, as well as happy and dedicated clients!
We offer show opportunities hosted here at home by Summer Hill, as well as local and rated competition. Students have the chance to qualify and compete at finals across New England. Our program highly encourages competition at hunter/jumper shows as an important way to work toward and meet individual goals.
Courtney grew up in Westwood, Massachusetts and began riding at the early age of four. Horses have been a passion in her life ever since. In her youth she competed at various levels in the hunter/jumper world. From a young age she worked hard and was determined to learn as much as she could about horse management, showing, training, and teaching lessons. She continued to show along the northeast gaining invaluable knowledge and experience.
Courtney currently instructs students from beginners through advanced riders, frequently taking students to horse shows including Saratoga, Fieldstone, Northeast Benefit, HITS and Vermont to name a few. She has developed a successful and dedicated clientele who have earned numerous championships and reserves at rated shows, as well as qualifying and competing in finals across New England. She has done very well at these shows not only as a coach but also as a competitor earning championships on her customers horses as well as her own.
